Before you set off on your journey, consider these four tips to make your long-distance drive a pleasant one. 1. Eat well Diners and greasy spoons line the roadways. They’re easy to pull in to, offer ample parking for trucks, and always offer cheap food. However, eating fast food may lead to acid reflux, heartburn and even drowsiness. To say alert and to give your digestive system a break, pack your own food if possible. If you can’t bring a cooler stocked with fruits, vegetables and light sandwiches, try a salad with grilled chicken or granola and yogurt when you stop for food.
